Sr Project Manager/PMO

At Ecublens (Switzerland)


Mission :

The Senior R&D Project Manager will be responsible for delivering on time, on budget and on quality New Product Development (NPD) projects. He/She will drive the activities required to initiate, plan, execute and close the R&D projects.

In addition, the Sr R&D Project Manager will manage the maintenance of the key R&D processes.


Key Responsibilities :

  • Scope Management: Plan and define project scope, collect requirements, control and validate the project scope and requirements during the different project phases
  • Timeline Management: Create WBS, define and sequence activities, estimate resources and duration ensuring delivering within the agreed timeline
  • Cost Management: Estimate project costs and determine budget, control the project execution to deliver with the available resources
  • Team Management: Define, develop and manage virtual project teams and 3rd party suppliers/partners to deliver results on time and on specifications
  • Risk Management: Identify project risks, perform risk analysis and define mitigation plans
  • Project Stakeholders Management: Identify and manage the project stakeholders
  • Communication Management: Define communication plans and manage communication within the project team and with project stakeholders
  • Key R&D Processes: Identify R&D processes needs and constraints, implement and maintain required processes in collaboration with stakeholders


Education & Experience 

  • PhD or MS in electronics or similar
  • A strong background of 5+ years’ experience in project management of complex electro-mechanical devices in international environments
  • Ideally a recognized Project Management Certificate (ex. PMP)
  • Ideally experience defining and maintaining R&D processes
  • Outstanding leadership skills, excellent communicator, strong orientation for results
  • Fluency in English. French and German would be a plus
